The Phoenix Martial Arts Belt System progresses from white to black and is representative of natures evolution.  The colour of each belt represents a level of achievement and mastery of different basic techniques.

    White is the colour of the beginners belt. White represents a primitive stage, the seeds of martial arts mastery.

    Orange represents the early growth and understanding that flourishes with new knowledge.

    Green represents the speedy development of basic knowledge and the beginning of advanced motions.

    Brown represents power, stability, agility, weight and wisdom.  This maturing stage comes with the understanding of basic techniques.

    Red represents blood, life, energy, attention and control.  The students power and techniques begin to ripen and bloom.

   Blue represents maturity, respect and honour.  The Blue belt is given to our Black Belt Candidates who must now prepare physically and mentally for the final steps needed to attain Black Belt.

    Black represents mastery, calmness, dignity and sincerity.  Black belt is the final stage of one cycle and the beginning of the next.
