Phoenix History
Tang Soo Do History
Belt System

Phoenix Martial Arts remains a 'Traditional' style honoring the original principles of Tang Soo Do.

Basic Etiquette
Arrive early to class.
Salute the flag and bow as you enter and leave the Dojang.
Remain quiet and do not distract others who are training.
Warm up prior to class.
Do not eat, smoke or chew gum.
Wear a clean, ironed uniform when training.
Always bring water to class - especially in hot weather.
Make sure you bow to the Instructor when you arrive.

Students must learn the basic moves and practice them repeatedly until they are perfected.  Once these foundations are in place, concentration and work must be expended to master the advanced techniques and forms.  Through forms and basic techniques, precise and accurate techniques will be performed.

When a student arrives to class late, he or she should wait until he is recognised by the instructor, then approach and bow and ask permission to join the class.

When a student must leave the class, he should first receive permission from the instructor.
